It is not that big a deal and some guys here do carry 2. Maybe it has to do with our "heritage" down here. You know....1 riot, 1 Ranger. We probably think we can handle anything with 1 flag. ;-)

Some of us just have some biases and look at it as being over-officious. I do not know if guy who carry 2 flags throw flags more but it just a perception, probably an inaccurate one.

Good grief! That doesn't give a positive, professional impression. On the times there are two penalties, that's what hats and beanbags are for.

Two flags? I can't think of anything that could give a worse impression, without a guy showing up to work a game in painter's pants and a ratty looking, pizza-stained hooters t-shirt.

Officials aren't there to _think_. That's when errors start. See the foul, throw the flag. If you get duplicates, that's better than not throwing the flag a penalty.

hats are for wearing

bean bags are for spotting

flags are for penalties

I carry two flags, 1 tucked away in front, that you wouldn't see unless youre looking for it. the other in my back pocket which I think I had to throw once in a youth game. keep the bean bags for spotting and the hats for wearing.
