This year was my first year of officiating football. I started out doing Junior high and JV. I have been around football all my life and know alot of the rules. The biggest thing was learning where I needed to be on the field in certain situations and what I am supposed to watch. I mainly did linejudge on the Home team sideline, but I will work both sides on occasion. I am looking for either videos or camps in my area (Kansas) so I can get better fundamentally. I want to move up to some varsity games next year and my goal is to do some NJCAA and NCAA games down the road. If anybody knows of good camps or good videos, please email me.

Thank you.

What part of the state? I guess Wichita, a WSU fan maybe. Get in the rulebook and know the penalty enforcements, there is a camp out near Wichita put on by Steve Stelljes who got hired by the NFL this year every summer for $110. Watch the kjccc.org web site next spring for dates and info. Good Luck.
