Blood on Uniform

Steelers vs Ravens

1st Qtr, Big Ben gets hammered and gets a big paw from a D Lineman right through his facemask. He goes down and comes up bleeding pretty good from his nose. Since it's now fourth down he comes off the field.

Next set of downs when he comes back, his uniform has a good many lines, drips, and drops of blood on it.

In the NFHS I'm pretty sure he couldn't play without removing the blood or getting a new jersey (it's that way in basketball anyhow).

Anyone tell me if that's the same/different in college or even the pros?

Just curious as it was pretty obvious.
Thanks

No blood rule in the NFL. I told one of my crew members in a semi-pro game played under NFL rules when he inquired about it, the only rule is "don't get it on you".
