I note he has a daughter living in an adjacent county to me here in NC.
My condolences to your association.

Actually, Jeff, myself, and many other came to know mick through this site and the old McGriff discussion boards over the past 14 years. I exchanged many emails with him over the years as well as hundreds and hundreds of basketball discussions.

mick was an official's official. He was always the voice of reason in a heated discussion and always had his partners' back in the games he worked. He would reach out to new posters on this site and become your best friend.

He'll be missed.

I had a chance to personally meet Mick at a state association meeting a while back and what a tremendous nice man to talk to. He just loved talking officiating with you and always offered positive discussion and different suggestions to make things better. We have truly lost a good friend and solid communicator.

Sorry to hear about the loss. What name did he post under on this site if you don't mind me asking?
