I find it hard to believe that the coach said the game was over after 14 points down. Sounds like a poor coach mentality.

Normally one of the earliest lessons taught to most officials is; don't evr, underany circumstances, no matter what the provocation swear at either a player or a coach or anyone on a sideline.
It's certainly possible an official, for any number of reasons, may have forgotten that lesson, but it's reasonably doubtful that a sane official would utter such a blatant violation in such an inconsequential situation, as described above.
On the other hand, that recollection does seem to add a level of excitement to the narrative, and would you think it possible might be somewhat of an imagined imbelishment? |
