Illegal Shift / False Start ??

Lineman A7 is on his line between the snapper and the player on the end of the line. His team runs a "spread" style offense and the lineman do not go into a traditional 3 point stance. After the ready for play and after the snapper has his hands on the ball A7 "shuffles" his feet to move himself closer to the snapper. He does not simulate the snap nor cause "B" to encroach. After one second the ball is snapped.. I say this is legal as long as he meets the shift requirements and he does not simulate the snap of the ball.. What does everyone else think ????

(NFHS RULES)

I agree, no foul. Covered up linemen can shift in NFHS as long as they are not simulating the start of the snap.

This is not an illegal shift. It might be a false start if the covering official judges that it's intended to cause B to encroach. 7-1-7(b)

No Foul.

Don't sweat the small stuff. :)
