Personal Fouls Enforcement
A throws an interception near B's goalline. During the return, B21 throws a hard, but legal, block on A10 at the B24. A10 takes exception to the block and tries to remove B21's helmet with his head still in it. B21 wants to keep his head, so he strikes A10 with a closed fist. A10 does not appreciate being struck, and retatiates with his own fist. Several blows were exchanged. To break up the fight, the covering official blew his whistle while B2 was running with the ball at the A20.
Let me see if we got it right. I'll tell you what we did after some responses. |
Inadvertent whistle. Per 4-2-3(b) B can keep the ball if they decline the PF on A10, who is still ejected for fighting. Penalize and eject B21, enforce from the spot of the foul (B24?) under ABO. 1/10 for B at the B12.

Agreed with Sir Byron. This would also be the same under NCAA.

IW. Ball is dead at the A-20. Penalties are enforced from there. I've got offsetting RPs (DQ'ing A10 and B21). I've also got UR on A10. Result: Team B 1D/G @ A-5. |
Ok, so tell us what you guys did.

Sorry for the delay in getting back on the board. Been extremely busy.
We did what mbyron said. Caused a very lively discussion in our next association meeting, with even the assignor (who is a retired NCAA D1 referee) saying we were wrong, but we finally convinced him we did it right. |
