Team A scores a touchdown on its first possession of overtime(high school rules). On it's kick for extra point, which was good, team B is called for a dead ball personal foul. Team B is given the ball at the 25 to start it's possession. Is it first and goal at the 25 or first and ten, and the chains brought back out.

If using the 10-yard overtime procedure directly from the NF rulebook, it is 1-25. I don't have the rule number, but in the OT section it states, "the line-to-gain is always the goal line."

I agree with Mike. They have four downs (unless penalty) to get it in the endzone.

The line to gain is always the goalline in Federation OT procedure. An offense can get more than 4 cracks (automatic 1st), but not through traditional movement of the chains. One does not need the chains for OT procedure.

This question keeps reappearing on several boards.

Under the NFHS OT Policy, it plainly says, "The line to gain is always the goal line."

OT policy in the rule book is really just a suggestion. The NF allows states to determine the tie-breaking method.
We have seen in other boards, that there are states that use a 20 yd starting point and a 25 yard starting point.
In both of these, it's is 1st and 10, and use the chains.

That's true. But no one here is posting what a state policy is. We've all replied as to what the NF policy is. The NF policy is what it is, no matter what a state does to change it.
