I'd like to read some opinions from all you guys on field goals. Here is my question> Or maybe its an example, to see if I'm on the right track.. Team A attempts 53 yard field goal, (a) kick is short and rolls to a rest at the 5 yard line. (b) is also short and a member of B is under it signaling for a fair catch, which is caught. (c) short and rolls in the end zone. and (d) is blocked by B at the line, recovered by A behind the line of scrimage and advanced beyond the first down marker. Your views on these please.... THANKS |

 (a) B's ball 1st & 10 at B's 5 yard line. (b) B's ball 1st & 10 at B's 5 yard line. B can snap or free kick. (c) Touchback. B's ball 1st & 10 at 20 yard line. (d) A's ball 1st & 10. Assuming no penalties, etc. |

Otis, if you'll think of a FG that doesn't score as a punt, you'll have it licked. |

AS I THOUGHT!! Just checking guys. Thanks and yes it is like a punt. My game tonight has a record setting kicker, so just covering some issues just to be sure. You guys are the rule books, better than looking in the book itself. HAHA Have a good one tonight!!! Wish me luck! My first as the White Hat!!! |
