Anyone ever call a game on anything but "A Field of Green?" Thoughts?

NCAA eventually going to step in here?

Eastern Washington literally seeing red over new turf - Dr. Saturday - NCAAF Blog - Yahoo! Sports

I don't know if I could work a game on that field without becoming physically ill.

This is our local nausea-producing field

I don't mind the colored (red or blue) turf.
If I care to see a team play, I'll wait for an away game.

This seems like another stark example of why, just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Update at 11: 48 a.m. ET: LSUSports.net says LSU is teaming up with an artificial turf company to install purple turf in time for the home opener against Mississippi State. The key quote from the "junior executive strength and conditioning coach" is this: "It is really going to prompt muscle confusion in the other team as the brain wants to run on a green surface."

Hehe, I wonder how many LSU fans actually believe that.
