I thought the first one was a pretty weak call, the second one seemed to be right on.
Was watching with some relatives, and after the first one everyone was yelling "horsecollar!!!", and I thought to myself it didn't warrant a flag, even though they threw one. (Packers fan here, FWIW) |

I didn't think either one warranted a flag, but I work under Fed rules, not NFL. In the first one, the runner fell forward, not back. In the second one, the tackler let go before the runner went down. Maybe NFL rules are different from Federation.

That is the same reason I thought it didn't deserve a flag. But without the wording of the NFL rule, I'd have to defer to the official's call.

Rule 12, Section 2, Article 1 All players are prohibited from: (d) grabbing the inside collar of the back of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling down the runner. The does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or a quarterback who is in the pocket |
