I actually caught this on TV last night... on Versus.

I had three reactions.
1) Using silver as the 'dark' color makes the two teams almost impossible to tell apart during a play.
2) Red shirts for officials? Ummm.... the brightest colors on the field shouldn't be worn by the officiating crew... we're supposed to blend into the background.
3) Dennis Green is coaching?

I didn't bother to watch more then about 10 minutes of it.

This could be a good niche league for football fans, except it is being played in the wrong season.

This league needs to play from mid-February to May. By playing in the fall, the UFL is competing for eyes-on-TV-sets and butts in stands with the NFL, NCAA Football, HS Football, MLB Playoffs, NBA start, and NHL start. I'm a HS football referee, and I love NCAA and NFL football. I'm also married and a father of two. I get enough football in the fall and assuring the domestic tranquility at home means no UFL for me!

If they play in the late winter/early spring, it will provide a niche for the football diehards - which any professional league not named NFL should be striving for.
