Are coaches allowed to do anything different during an injury time out as opposed to a regular time out?

Can coaches come talk to the players in an authorized conference as per 2-6 during an injury time out?

No, they cannot have an authorized conference. They can call the team over to the sideline and as long as the 11 players stay on the field and up to three coaches stay in the restricted area, they are fine (this is true between downs as well). The referee can 1) allow trainers to bring water to the team or 2) send the teams off the field if the injury timeout is prolonged.
