NFL -- Tennessee vs NY Jets
 

I just turned on the TV to the Tennessee/NY Jets game, and I two things that puzzle me exceedingly.

1) It appears as though Tennessee is wearing helmets/jerseys from another team?? Houston Oilers, maybe? Am I wrong? Is there a reason for this?

2) RED and WHITE STRIPES on the refs?? Wow!! Whose brilliant :rolleyes: idea was that!?!?

Yes they are (and the color is orange or "tangerine", not red)

Yes, the Titans are wearing the old Houston Oilers uniforms as they are the same franchise. This is a rather sensitive subject with the long time Oiler fans here.

Really, when I look at those officials' uniforms, I think they're more flattering than the black and white stripes. Makes our fellow zebras look less like inmates. ;)
