Would a ankle monitor be legal?

Had a kid the other night that had a ankle monitor on his leg taped up. Is this legal for him to play?

Honestly, I would check with your local jurisdiction. This is not covered and I have heard of officials allowing such a thing in certain areas that I have officiated.

NCAA As long as it is adequately padded to prevent injury to anyone, it is good to go

Same in HS, at least in PA.

In Fed rules, the ankle monitor must be covered. So, under a sock would be sufficient. No note is required.

Seriously? Under what article and section are ankle monitors covered?
