I worked ump in a 5-man crew Saturday for the inaugural IWFL championship game. This league uses a modified version of NFL rules. To be prepared, our crew met at the home of the White Hat at 12:00 for an intensive pre-game. Game Time was 4:00, so we had plenty of time to go over all the things we thought we’d need to be ready for. We talked a lot about the seriousness of this game, and even though it was being played by women, they deserved no less from us then we’d give in any game of this importance.
The women played a great, fast paced game. Most these women are fine athletes and played their hearts out. Their intensity was no less then you’d expect from men playing in a game at any level. Lots of Brookland accents mixed with Texas twangs, both spiced with very explicit profanities that would make a sailor blush …LOL.
Here’s a link to an article about the game. I’ll be back after work to talk about how my game went and our post game review.

Sounds like fun. You prepared yourself well.

And it looks like they kept you on your toes; you don't see a team score a total of four points very often.
