Wow, all of these would be good refreshers on what we must flag, etc. However, using NF and NCAA, how would the last one (Oklahoma State) be handled? I'm thinking stop the game for the moment, and have game administration seek out the lasering fool, and then replay the down with new play clock and all. Thoughts?

NF: 1.6 provides, "The rereree has authority to rule promptly, and in the spirit of good sportsmanship,on any situation not specifically covered in the rules. The referee's decisions are final in all matter pertaining to the game."

I suspect there is similar language (Replay aside) at the NCAA and NFL levels as well, because nothing else would work to deal with the unexpected.

When we were children and something happened that just didn't fit with what we were doing, we were smart enough to recognize it and call for a "do-over". It worked then, and will likely still work when nothing else will do the job.

I had that in a HS game last year in fact. Fans on the visiting sidelines where using a laser pointer to distract the QB.

Stopped the game and notified game management. We had to stop it twice until the situation was resolved.

Had a coach in a JV game complain about a laser pointer coming from the home stands last season. I never saw it but I did see the red range finder on a camera flash once. My guess is that's what he saw.
