DPI and IBIB

A7 throws pass to A87. B35 commits defensive pass interference. B27 intercepts the pass and starts runback. During the runback B76 blocks A23 in the back.

Explain the options and what is the best result for A?

Multiple fouls on B. One pre-possession and one post-possession. In order to keep the ball, A needs to decline the IBIB penalty. Then they will accept the DPI penalty. Enforce from the previous spot, 15 yards and automatic first down.

CANADIAN RULING:

A can only choose 1 foul, and they will choose the DPI in order to retain possession.

A classic "clean hands" play. B won't keep the ball.

Amen to the administrations above.
