Forearm Sleves

Question for you.....

Had a scrimmage the other night in which one kid had some forearm sleeves and wanted to get some opinions on their legality. The material was similar to an under armor style shirt with no padding and was plain black. There was no tackyness to it and it did not appear to provide improved contact with the ball. It was not protecting a pre-existing injury but the player indicated that it was to protect his forarms from the newly installed field turf.

Based on the fact that it was no different than wearing a long sleve shirt, we let it go.

Legal? Adornment? Your thoughts?

We had the same thing in a couple of scrimmages; they were not sticky or anything abnormal. They did not look like adornments to us; we let wear them too.

I agree. They are like long sleeves and provide some protection against rug burns so unless the state says otherwise, I'll let them go.
