PA Officials- Information needed for Reading Area

I am trying to help my cousin out, what is the football association he would need to contact to get into football, he lives in the Reading area. I know the season is about to start so he could perhaps use the info next year.

THanks

Become a certified PIAA official. Then, join a good chapter. I am the rules interpreter for the Norristown Chapter in District 1 ( That is the philly suburb area). We have a few Reading guys in our chapter. They picked Norristown because it is closer to where they work their day job.

You could take your PIAA test in October. However, there are plenty of opportunities to get work at the youth level if you do not have your certification yet. I know the assignor for the Buck-Montgomery county Pop Warner league. He is always looking for officials to cover games on Saturday. The pay is $50 dollars, cash on the field for those games. Let me know if you are interested, I will give you his E-mail and phone numbers.

Question 1/2 a yard? For a Pop Warner Game?

$50.00 for a Pop Warner Game? WOW! That's 1/2 a yard!
In OREGON, a POP Warner official can earn $90.00
(For 3 games)

PA obviously has a better Union Rep!
