A T Day Wish

To all those who are working Turkey Day games, may the calls be right....the games be good...the weather be dry and nobody gets hurt. And, keep the clock running!!

As much as I LOVE doing turkey day games (and frankly I wouldn't have it any other way) tomorrow's game doesn't look like a turkey day game should be. This year I'm ready to start the clock now (and it's 8pm the night BEFORE) the game. One team was in the state semi-final and the other's record is 0-9.

BUT, then again it's high school football and turkey day football in South Jersey is awesome. Two of our schools have one of the oldest rivalries in the country. I believe it dates back to the 1880's. Unfortunately I don't have that game.

I scanned the guide on my dish for tomorrow. No HS games on tv tomorrow. Last year my son and I watched the rivalry from Easton, PA after breakfast instead of one of the parades.

Bummer

How about NP Group 4 finalist at 10-0 against a 2-7 team?

What joy! What was the final score? The 7-2 team beat the 0-9 team 40 to zip. Mercy rule? Nope. Ran the clock any way and nobody said a word. Of course the coaches knew what was going on and commended me at the end for doing so.

DBP 44, Paramus Catholic 6. And as they say... IT WASN'T THAT CLOSE!

Out clock operator tried to perform a bit of clock magic but the DBP coaches saw it and started complaining ... loudly.
