Good Cold Weather Shirt

Weekend before last our area got hit with a cold and windy rain from the leftovers of a tropical storm. My policy for the crew is no jackets ever, therefore, whatever you can get under your shirt is fine.

I decided for the future to research shirts that look good in wet weather, protect you from getting wet and keep you warm.

What are others using to battle the elements?

I'm generally a big Under Armour guy, but their cold gear shirts ran (to me) very small and tight. All their other stuff fits well. So, I got a Nike Pro shirt that works much the same was as UA. Its a little lighter, but it kept me very comfortable on a cold night a couple of weeks ago.

Living in Western Washington, we can get a good deal of rain.
The most popular shirt in our area is the Cliff Keen WeatherSlayer
The second choice I would guess would be Honigs Windstoper Pullover.

Having both if it is really raining the WeatherSlayer keeps you a bit dryer from the rain, if it is windy and cold but not really raining hard I like the windstoper better.

Hope that helps

Windstoppers all the way. My buddy has a shirt that is a windstopper on the inside and a regular striped shirt on the outside. I'll ask him the name of it and where he got it.

What is this "cold weather" you all speak of? :D

I solved the cold weather problem by buying an UA Cold Weather shirt. Since then, I haven't had a chance to wear it - no cold weather at all. My son has borrowed it for skiing and he tells me it's great. I just haven't been able to find out yet.
