Western defeats Queen's, travels to Ottawa this coming Saturday.

Guelph beats Mac in the re-match from last week, and visits Laurier on the 3rd.

Any idea who is going to what game? Interested parties want to know.

Yes; the winner of each semi-final go on to compete for the Yates.

I was talking about the officiating crew for this weeks' games. Especially in Ottawa. Will it be a set crew or an Eastern Ontario crew.

I would rather not say, sorry.

HossHumard Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:46am

Anybody going to the Vanier?

JugglingReferee Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:50am

Probably lots of people are going!

But seriously, I might go...

I may have made it sound like I know who the crew is. Truth is, I don't have a clue. The only this I know is this: they're using 7-man and there will be a Referee, Umpire, Line Judge, ................ :D :D

Are you are going as an official or a spectator? :)

I guess I should say I don't know who the entire crew is. :D

The officials from across Canada should sit together.

I'm there as a fan. A group of 7 of us from Edmonton attended last year in 'toon town, and there was a heck of a "meeting" after the game attended by 40+ amateur officials plus a few CFL guys hosted by the SFOA....course, that was after we thawed out (-22C at game time, but it was a "dry" cold!). No danger of that (cold) this year of course, and, yes, we should create a zebra section at Skydome, oops, sorry, the Rogers Centre!

Cool.

Rogers Centre - blah! Rogers isn't too well liked around here. They gouge us for cable television and cell service.

SkyDome - yes.

Chances are if you work games in the OUA and have travelled to Ottawa I have already seen you. Also if you are heading here this week...you will be changing up in the old Renegade offices.

Hmm... in my effort to stay anonymous, I can't comment on this.

Pepto

In the OUA playoffs, my sources tell me that there were TWO upsets in the semi-finals played today. Ranks are (OUA, CIS).

Western (5, 10) defeats Ottawa (1, 2) 23-16. Based on his description, I am guessing that Western scored on the last play of the game by intercepting Ottawa.

Guelph (6, unranked) defeats Laurier (2, 5) 38-31. My friend says WLU started 24-0, only to have Guelph score 38 unanswered points. WLU scored a TD late, and failed to score while another deep in Guelph territory.

So, The University of Guelph Gryphons will host the 100th Yates Cup.

A third, unnamed source, has said that the Guelph - Laurier game was one of the best in OUA history.

Congrats to the University of Western Mustangs for winning the 100th Yates Cup.

They defeated the University of Guelph Gryphons, 34-21 in front of a huge crowd.

Did anyone go to this game?

Did anyone watch this game on TV?
