Tinted eye shield

LSU player had a tinted eyeshield. Annoucers said must be doctors orders. Doctor or not, that is not allowed NCAA or NF. What gives?

They also tend to speak as if they wrote the rule book and know it cover to cover -- they don't. :)

Not sure?!

Tinted glasses and goggles are ok, not the shield.
