OPI on a try. LOD+yardage?
 

Please clarify: Under 8.3.2C(b) (case book)

A commits pass interference on a try. Loss of down foul means no repeat of down. But it doesn't clarify if penalty yardage should be enforced in this situation, other than usually OPI is 15 yards plus LOD. Is the 15 assessed on the kick off?

No, it's not.

We had this situation in a playoff game last year. OPI on the try. Try is no good. No penalty on the kickoff.

(Assuming the penalty is not declined...)

If points were scored, A must re-do the convert. Either a L15 on the convert, and the KO as normal, or the convert as normal, and L15 on the KO.

If no points were scored, L15 on the KO, with no option by B to re-do the convert.
