Shield Question
 

Hello All,

I have a question about wearing a clear shield and also wearing glasses. I have read the federation rule book and I know that the clear shields are legal. What I need to know is it ok too wear tinted prescription glasses along with the clear shield? This question was brought up in a meeting tonight. I could not find one thing in the federation book about wearing tinted prescription glasses.

Any help would be much appreciated!

As far as I am aware, it is OK since it is possible for medical staff to reach in and move tinted glasses in order to see the players eyes. Whereas the tinted visor requires moving the actual helmet which might may worse any neck injury.

Like every thing else, there is no rule against wearing sunglasses so they are legal!

At the Iowa meeting, the presenter said that clear shields with sunglasses are fine.
