I would give the advice. From a liability standpoint, if something really bad happens and the parents are feeling litigious, you're already a target because you were officiating the scrimmage. I don't think you're going to make it any worse by saying, "In my experience, Camden (or wherever) General does a really poor job; you should go to Cherry Hill Regional instead."
Would you have volunteered the information if you weren't in uniform and working that scrimmage, but just happened to be on the sidelines? |
