secondregionbug Anyone know where I might find some rules questions for a training session for high school officials???
Bob M. REPLY: Go through the threads on this site and on the Federation site (http://www.nfhs.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=9) and you can find some pretty good plays. If you're form TX or Mass, the Fed site will still give you some plays, but you'll need to interpret the rulings into NCAA-ish. Also, the Refstripes boards (http://www.refstripes.com/forum/index.php) will provide some good stuff.
BigGref I think referee Magazine has a good quiz http://www.referee.com/quiz/sportquiz.html your info doesn't have to be right either.
MJT Here is an interesting quiz which has blanks to fill in and the answers are further down in the document. http://www.eaifo2.org/files_pdf/EaifoSnappingPassingBall.pdf Their main site has a lot of good site on it. http://www.eaifo2.org/EaifoMechanics.html This site has some online quizzes under resources. Not sure what year the answers are from. http://www.mcoa.org/football/index.htm
The Roamin' Umpire Our association's website has an "Interpreter's Notes" section with a collection of rules questions every month or so. Nothing terribly obscure, which makes them perfect for a beginner. This month's all kicking plays - here's the link: http://www.cdofficials.us/football/cdfoa/interpreter.html
