Friday Night Lights In January???
 

I was traveling through central Texas tonight and saw several fields with the lights on. Is it a state law that they must be on every Friday night? If not, any idea why they would have been on tonight?

Soccer games.

Our local field was hosting a band competition last Friday night. Could be that too. You'll find track at night in the Spring also.

Some keep the lights on certain nights of the week so those in the area can use the track. However, the weather in Texas hasn't been kind to those wanting to run outdoors lately!
