Oregon State comeback...last td catch

Nice to see the Beavers come back to win the other night. What was even sweeter was the ballsy Mike Riley going for two and the win. These college bowls games are more often than not great shootouts.

Anyway, just wondering about the last td catch by the tight end I believe. What is the NCAA rule on possession? By this I mean I did not think he totally controlled the ball long enough, but that is just my opinion. Does the possession rule differ from that of the NFL or HS?

Knee was down before ball came out. Ground cannot cause a fumble.
Now 4th D fumble on the 1 by OSU RB was interesting. IW, I thought.

Go Ducks!!

On that play, he had possession with one foot down, which is all you need in NCAA. Once possession was established, it did not matter that he dropped the ball since he was in the end zone. Touchdown. Just like a RB breaking the plane and then the ball comes loose, same result.
