Gary McGriff - The Original
 

Does anyone know if Gary intends to restart his discussion boards? That was my first experience with discussion of football officiating several years ago, and it was a very good experience.

I found that there was more trash talk than football information on McGriff. And that goes for the other sports as well. Gone, but not lamented by me.

He's had so much trouble with spammers, who knows? I've always thought he should require registration. They would clean up a lot of issues.

McGriff's board was very helpful.

I never had a problem with the FB board other than it seemed very Texas oriented and since I don't call NCAA, not always interesting. Between this board, NFHS, and NCPreps, I don't really miss it now.

Until McGriff's finds a way to control the spam the board is dead. Who wants to deal with all the garbage that's there. Every thread is hijacked by spammers.

Most of the posters from McGriff's have found their way over to refstripes, which has separate sections for fed and NCAA.

With the traffic that board is getting I would be surprised if McGriff's ever makes a comeback.

The best thing about that site is that we can filter out any spammers and block their IP addresses!
