Well for the Canadians on the forum or any CFL fans, who do you think is going to get the Grey Cup?

My Prediction:

LJ - Buchko
FJ - Taylor

Ok, that is maybe why you took Foxy and Jake. Although they are far more than deserving picks...and Juggling, yes you do know that name!!! :)

ref18 Fri Nov 10, 2006 08:05pm

Actually, the only ones i picked from my association are Tom and Dave.

Foxy, Jake and Bryan are all from the neighbouring association.

Actually within the last year I've done a game with everyone on my list except Buchko and Butler.

saskbucks Fri Nov 10, 2006 09:26pm

Does that mean you are doing other games than amateur? i.e. CFL?

ref18 Fri Nov 10, 2006 09:57pm

not yet...

The only reason you didn't ref with #50 is because you took a wrong turn in Okotoks.

saskbucks Fri Nov 10, 2006 11:53pm

How many amateur games do those CFL guys do?

ref18 Sat Nov 11, 2006 02:37am

Quite a few.

They all do quite a bit of minor.

Al, Dave and Tom were all out on the HS fields this year, as well they did a good chunk of OV ball.

Lots of the CFL guys do, at least in Ontario. In fact they were saying that they're encouraged to do it to help give back to the game.

saskbucks Sat Nov 11, 2006 11:08am

Out of my list I worked with Butler and Buchko this year. Great guys and great officials. The other guys on both lists are also great guys as well

Conference Finals

East

Referee: 62 - John Ireland
Umpire: 39 - Bob Reddekopp
Head Linesman: 50 - Brent Buchko
Line Judge: 72 - Al Bradbury
Field Judge: 48 - Kim Murphy
Side Judge: 42 - Carey Anderson
Back Judge: 40 - Heinz Brademann

West

Referee: 32 - Glen Johnson
Umpire: 24 - Bill Hagans
Head Linesman: 52 - Boris Velcic
Line Judge: 56 - Steve Dolyniuk
Field Judge: 54 - Al McColman
Side Judge: 27 - Jeff Harbin
Back Judge: 70 - Don Ellis

I heard that the GC crew comes from the Finals.

GC guess: 62, 24, 50, 72, 48, 27, 40.

saskbucks Sun Nov 12, 2006 06:15pm

actually it is Don Ellis and not Dean McNeill

saskbucks Sun Nov 12, 2006 06:16pm

and the LJ is Steve Dolyniuk

ref18 Sun Nov 12, 2006 06:57pm

Mike, I give you the officials rosters for the games and you still manage to screw them up...what's up with that? ;)

You only gave the east, *not* the west. I had to watch the game to figure out the west.

saskbucks Sun Nov 12, 2006 10:23pm

If they are taking the GC crew from the finals, which is not always the case...I pick
R Jake
U Hagans
HL Foxy
LJ Bradbury
BJ Woody
SJ Carey
FJ Murphy

ref18 Mon Nov 13, 2006 01:49am

Well, hopefully we'll find out tomorrow, but I still stand by my original predictions, unless of course there's anyone from Montreal or BC on the crew, in which case they're ineligible for consideration.

saskbucks Mon Nov 13, 2006 09:54am

we'll see

Hagans is in line for getting his first GC as an umpire. Foxy is in line for his first period I believe, same with Al Bradbury. Interesting to see what will happen

saskbucks Tue Nov 14, 2006 04:49pm

So is this Jake's final GC if he gets it? I think he still has a lot of football left in him. Are any of you guys coming in for the Vanier? Should be a good time, especially if the home team gets it. Have not seen Ottawa, they must be a fine team.
