starting the clock
 
we had a roughing the punter on a scrimmage kick, 15 yards and automatic first down. the ball ended up being downed by K. when does the clock start? we started the clock on the snap because it was a legal kick and a new series was awarded. was this correct?

Correct. We had it also on Friday nt.

NFHS rules: Start the clock on the snap because team A was awarded a new series following a legal kick play. You got it right.
