Unsportsmanlike on Change of posession
had a play last night, NFHS rules. A1 steps back to pass, while B1 rushes against lineman A2, the ball is thrown; at the same time as the ball is in the air, B1 (inexplicably) punches A2, without retaliation. The throw is intercepted. Whatdayagot?
Does it matter if it occurs before or after the INT; is it a USC or PF? My understanding was that USC is a succeding spot foul, does a change of posession change this? thanks! |

1. Change of Possession 2. Yes 3. I would go with USC + disqualification 4. Yes, USC is a succeeding spot foul and the change of possession should not change it. You should enforce from where the change of possession occurred. |
UC fouls are non-contact fouls.
This team-B foul is a PF with an automatic ejection for the punching. Team-A will retain the ball after 15 yard markoff from the PS. |
Since B did not have clean hands before they got the ball....I have a flagrant foul...fifteen yards and A still with the ball. The flagrant foul ofcourse carries with it an ejection.
