Had snow last night at the JV game. Under an inch- could still barely see the lines. Just a few miles down the road they've got 2 feet of snow as it's coming off the lake. Tons of trees down because the leaves are still on. Power out. Many games cancelled tonight, I'm sure.

Earliest on record out here.

Got a double header of Tier A this afternoon. The snow has melted into the ground; it's still cold though.

As for snow games... Got my pic front page of the local paper last year shoveling off the 45's before kickoff in a regional semi.

Nothin' here yet....

And for Central Alberta, that's saying something. Usually, but mid October we've had two good dumps and a week of sub zero temps, but so far, so good.

From a purely selfish point of view, I'm seeing a small upside to this global warming thing......

Don't remember any snow last night, but I'll call a crewmate and double check with him in case I missed it.

Northern Wisconsin (Park Falls) had 3-4 inches on the field at game time. Not my game - thankfully. We had a Thursday game this week - gametime temp about 33 with 20-30 mph winds, but no snow.
