I can't believe I'm about to say this, but, I mostly agree with Mark Cuban.

However, with respect to suspending officials, I think it is ridiculous.

Are players suspended when the miss a block. How about coaches when they are late getting a play in resulting in a delay. If you want to discipline an official, look at the body of work over time. If they aren't getting the job done do something about it. However to suspend officials over one mistake or bad game is a cop out done to appease coaches and posture for the public.

Touching on the portion about being full time and the training we get. What outsiders don't realize is the amount of time we put into our officiating. Do they really think we just show up a couple hours before the game and start working it. Hell, between the guys here and on other boards, I'm really starting to question if we even have a life outside of officiating. How much more time can we put into this weekend hobby. The response time to questions asked here and on other boards is as quick as a instant messenger. I'd say we are full time when you consider the amount of time we put in on these boards and all that just for a game on the weekend or midweek or whenever you work.
