After washing, do you hang dry or throw in the dryer?

I put them in the dryer for about 10 mins to get the wrinkles out then air dry them.

MJT Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:43pm

I use the dryer and they are fine.

andy1033 Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:53pm

Dryer 6 minutes.

ref49873 Thu Sep 14, 2006 11:06pm

dryer and then hang or fold. never any issues.

Warrenkicker Fri Sep 15, 2006 10:17am

I just hang all of my stuff straight out of the washer. Then fold it up and put it in my bag.

ref18 Fri Sep 15, 2006 11:12pm

I don't understand why you guys do any of this stuff. Don't you have wives that can do this while you're watching SportsCenter? :D

If my wife washes my uniform items, she plays scavenger hunt with them. Takes me forever to pack my bag.

Along the same lines, who makes the best knickers. I was going to buy a pair of the Honig's deluxe knickers with the 27" inseam but they're out of stock until mid-late October. I want western pockets, 27" inseam, not 24", and quality materila.

Ordered a pair of the +POS delixe. They stink. Thin, flimsy material, short waist...a full two inches shorter from the inseam to the top of the waistline. They're going back tomorrow.

Thoughts?

I have both the Honigs and +POS western pocket knickers and the Honigs are better hands down. Deeper pockets in the front, better material for the rear pockets, and higher quality seams on the Honigs pants.

I hang dry both shirts and pants. Always, purchase Honigs gear if you want the best quality and service.

Heh. I know I'm in the overwhelming minority here, but I vastly prefer +POS knickers to Honig's. The Honig's ones never seem to fit right around the waist, no matter what size I order. The lighter material of the +POS knickers is a positive in my book. And at my height (5'4"), the fact that they're also shorter is a HUGE plus - all of my Honig's knickers have a ton of material bunched up around my knees. Looks like crap. It's maddening, because there are some things that I much prefer to get from Honig's (hats come to mind), but the comfort factor makes it well worth the extra shipping to place two orders.

LOL! well, that makes sense, since I'm 6'4". Those +POS knickers were the most uncomfortable things I've ever tried on.

Yes, I have a wife but she does not touch the uniform.

+POS stinks, I used them my rookie year and never since.

I just purchased a pair of Honigs knickers at the start of this season and they are great, a little expensive however you get what you pay for.

irefky Tue Sep 19, 2006 09:11pm

Hey, what size plus pos do you wear? I have serveral new ones that I want sell to buy Honigs stuff! I am serious....

SWFLguy Tue Sep 19, 2006 09:47pm

MrsO does all my unis--last Friday we had a game
in (about 1/2) of a mud bowl. My gear was filthy.
Not bad enough like once back in CNY where we all
took a shower with our gear on, but bad. She told me
she washed my pants and sox Three Times !!
Sadly I have had to turn back the rest of my season
as I have done a bad thing--- got a job that takes up
too much of my time to be able to officiate. I hope
to be back next season when I can budget my job time
and officiating time !
This was my 37th season and I would really like
to make it to 40 !
