Double Pass

In high school football my understanding is that the double pass can be exicuted with the first pass thrown forward as long as the first pass is caught behind the LOS. Can anyone confirm on way or the other?

This is not correct, it is a change this season, only one forward pass.

So last year this statement was correct but the rule has been changed for the upcoming season.

I believe it was a 2005 change. So it was true 2 years ago but not last year or this year.

Rules Changes for 2005

7-5: Only one forward pass may be thrown during a down.

I was going to say, that rule was just changed last year.

Before 2005 you could have had 10 or more passes on 1 play. Good change in my opinion.

NFHS rules allow only one (1) forward pass during a down. This rule change was implemented in 2005. You can have as many backwards passes as you want during a down.
