We had our rules interp meeting last night and there have been some changes/clarifications of what we heard earlier in the Summer.

First, shorts are again allowed. The requirement for knickers remains for varsity games (obviously) and those varsity scrimmages which are "game conditions" (basically, pre-season games).

Second, the new uniforms deal with the embroidered lettering is NOT cast in stone. Let's say "edged in jello" at this point. The contract has not yet been signed and they are conducting an informal poll as to what the officials think. Last night a letter was distributed by the state to all of us in the meeting, and before the meeting we were to indicate "yes" or "no" on whether we thought this was a good idea and hand the letter back in.

REPLY: GOOD! At our meeting last week, we were read the letter from the state, but we were NOT offered the opportunity to 'vote' on it as if it were a measure under referendum. We were just told, "This is it starting in 2007."
