As a coach I have a question about the mouthpieces we got. Is it a requirement they have the attachment to the facemask

NFHS. They don't have to attach to the facemask.

They cannot be completely white or completely clear.

See rule 1-5-1-i.

NCAA rule is basically the same (Rule 1.4.4.d). Cannot be white or clear and should be a "readily visible color). Does not need to have an "attaching strap".
