NCAA DVD Officiating Video

Now that the rules are out, it looks like the NCAA is making everything else available. I ordered the DVD this morning, $25.95 after shipping.

I got a copy of last year's and it is helpful. Lots of quick clips with voice overs giving opinion and feedback. I believe the voice over is Dave Parry, the head of the Big 10 officials.

Haven't got it yet and I will be away from a computer for a while, and will not be able to let you know until the end of the month.

If it like the 2005 CD Rom it had a few 100 clips. I used it some parts of it at our local meetings. I felt it was worth the $25....I don't want to order it again if it is the same thing reprinted with 2006 on it that's all....

There are 141 plays from the 2005 season and postseason games.

This is not a reprint of the 2005 videos. Every year, the plays put on this video are different as they are designed to illustrate mechanics (good and bad) and calls both good and not so good.

I myself have not found anything from the fed. NFHS is still selling it's 2001 rules video. Which was great in 2001 but a few rules have changed since then. You would think the NFHS could put out a new rules DVD/video each year?

Like I siad I got the 2005 NCAA and applied what I could to NFHS rules and used it during our rules meetings.
