Our chapter has been pushing for some kind of rule for many years now in New Jersey. They still can't get this passed.

They should have just used the mercy rule with the clock instead of passing this stupid rule.

This is an unbelievably stupid rule. What if the offense of the losing team throws interceptions or fumbles the ball for TDs? The coach can only do so much.

Peace

Exactly--what are those folks thinking about ??
We have a running clock rule here to make those overmatched
games "move along".
True that some coaches may try to run up scores; but
this type of rule is not the way to control things.

What's the 5th string cornerback supposed to do when he finally gets in a game, intercepts a pass and has smooth sailing with 10 seconds left in the game? Pass up the chance of his lifetime and fall down so his coach doesn't get suspended?

Stupid, stupid rule.
