Five Minutes with Brad Cashman
Five Minutes with Brad Cashman - Referee Magazine, April issue, page 60
Brad Cashman is in his second year as chair of the NFHS Football Rules Committee. One of the questions asked of Brad Cashman. Referee: This year there were more than 60 change proposals. Is that too many? Cashman: I think that’s about where it should be. We’ve had double that in the past, so we’re really scaling down the number of proposals. I don’t think there are too many things we can do to the rules other than maybe clarify some things. The survey conducted by the NFHS asking if last year’s changes were positive showed almost in the 90 per cent favoring the 2005 changes. I think you’ll see the same thing going forward, too. When Cashman said: “I don’t think there are too many things we can do to the rules other than maybe clarify some things.” Does that mean, don’t look for many rule changes in the future? |
