Just curious, have there been a few posts deleted here recently? Especially in the Super Bowl threads?

And if you have a post deleted, are we notified at all that our post has been deleted or is it done and that's it?

Actually, it looks like the whole thread was deleted. Anyone else noticing that?

Yup.

Too bad, too. Talking about the Super Bowl is on-topic and fun.

Anyways, good job to Leavy and crew!

This site is for officials to discuss the rules, interps, plays, and other aspects of the game of football. It is not a *****fest for fans. The mods delete such posts/threads and rightfully so.

I agree but a whole thread?

No, that's not it at all.

This board is for officials to discuss rules, interps, plays, and other aspects of the game of football.

It is not for fanboys like yourself to come to vent and complain about officiating in some game that we had nothing to do with. No one here worked the Super Bowl, idiot. So how is it that you're questioning our performance?

I think I started that thread. I am not just a "fanboy". I am a basketball official and I usually side with the refs 99% of the time. I just merely stated my opinion that I thought the game was poorly called and one-sided. I enjoyed seeing the comments from football officials who are more knowledgeable than I am about things like "holding" and "PI". I would like to think if an NBA game came down to a couple of key calls that seemed to favor one team over the other that maybe I could provide some insight that a football official may not see.

Just because you are a basketball officials does not mean you know what it takes to be a good football official. I also think the fact that you are an official to call officiating "one side" is kind of sad. I guess if the fouls you call in a game or half were 7 to 4 that you have worked your officiating should be considered one sided. Just like you have philosophies as a basketball official, football officials have similar philosophies as it relates to calls and what not to call. The holding call would not have even been an issue if Madden and Michaels did not say anything about it (which was a terrible angle btw).

Peace
