OK, so I didn't watch the game til this weekend due to being out of town. Did anyone else notice that Texas won the toss and elected to defer, but once the R had the captains face endzones, he said that Texas elected to receive?
Also, once it went back to the commentators, Keith Jackson said that Texas had won the toss and elected to kick off. A minute or so later, Dan Fouts got it correct when he said that Texas had elected to defer. |

Butterflies! I noticed it and with that grand of a stage it can happen to anyone. Dick Honig admitted in an article that when he worked the National championship game in the Orange Bowl a few years back that he forgot which side was heads and tails (or something like that) because it was a special coin. Any way, he said he guessed and realized he got it right when the captains didn't complain!
It happens! |
