I have noticed on at least one bowl game that the officials were using the orange bean bag. I had a topic back sometime ago about this but was wanting to follow up with it.
Any changes you guys may know of for next season NFHS? Thanks in advance |

Haven't heard a peep, but I ain't exactly on the Fed's speed dial. I would welcome it, I sometimes work SJ/FJ and after marking the end of a scrimmage kick and then going to trail the play, it is sometimes difficult finding my blue one. Orange would seem to be easier to see.

I posted something back here before the season about the Fed switching to blue bean bags. I heard it from a guy that works closely with someone that works with the Fed.
NCAA has allowed conferences to choose whatever color the would like to use. So far I've seen white, blue, orange, and heard of a conference using red. I must admit, I'm getting a little burnt out on the discussion about bean bag color. It has come up as a topic on the various boards out there and I feel partly to blame since I broached the subject a few months back. Someone else mentioned this and I think it is a great statement. "I don't care what color the Fed wants us to use. What I want the Fed to do is make a statement about how officials are suppose to use a bean bag. So many times officials use the bag improperly."
