On this the celebration of the birth of our Lord, I'd like to wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas.

Amen, brother, amen!

J, you should have heard the homily at St. Mary's in Brantford. The Priest received an applause. We'll talk about it later. *You* would have loved it!

Bottom line is: take a stand.

Sounds like the Homily Bishop Eustricky (sp??) gave at our graduation, exactly like it, except I was the only person who liked it. (I guess it might've had something to do that our graduation fell on the same day as the SSM vote.)

But I was really impressed with his sermon.

In another note, our priest at my home parish stunk up the joint like usual :( I hope the Bishop re-assigns him soon. 8 Years is way too long.

And if you leave out Kwanza, Rut's gonna be pissed.

JugglingReferee Tue Dec 27, 2005 09:55am

My understanding is that Kwanzaa is a cultural celebration. That's what their website says. Christmas, on the other hand, is a religious celebration.

According to some research I've done, the creator of Kwanzaa is a convicted felon and is an avowed Marxist. In opposing God, he allegedly made the statement, "...spooks who threaten us if we don’t worship them and demand we turn over our destiny and daily lives." That's pretty anti-Christian to me. It doesn't surprise me when Kwanzaa exists around Christmas-time.

Why did I know it was going to turn into this? I hope you all can find your individual Peace and a way to not hate.

Back to the topic of this board... If Jesus were alive today, do you think he would prefer the old white bean bags or the new blue ones?

He wouldn't need to use a bean bag. ;)

Maybe the red bean bags that I saw one crew using in a bowl game.

He'd allow the WWJD bracelets probably.
