Illegal Shift??

For all you whitehats and linesmens out there, I have a question about an illegal shift.
I was watching the GVSU vs NWMS Division II championship game and noticed that the QB for NWMS lined up in the shot gun formation. After he put the WR in motion, he would take a full step forward moving both feet and take the snap. The man in motion never stopped. Is this an illegal motion or shift?

Illegal shift since both the players didn't reset prior to the snap.

I agree 100% with LJ. This is one, as a WH, I catch everytime!

Very descriptive topic name... ;-)

I guess this depends on the level you are working, or whatever your supervisor wants. This would not be a foul in my games, as there is no actual change of position by the QB.

Not arguing that you let this go, just pointing out that there are always different interpretations at different levels.

I would agree at a "pop-warner" level I would explain to thge coach what they were doing wrong. Then it could be corrected. At the sub-varsity level I would bang them for it...LOL

If the QB is just shuffling his feet in place I let it go but if he takes a full step forward I flag it.
