What are the basic mechanics For a backjudge in a 7 man crew NCAA

TXMike Mon Oct 24, 2005 08:59am

Back up, back up , back up. Keep your head on a swivel. Bean bag the end of scrimmage kicks. You have the 25 second clock. Key the 2d man in on strong side on scrimmage plays and the 2d man in on front line of Team B on free kicks (you are on press box side, Team A restraining line.) Hold the ball on the ground for measurements.

You have Ks free kick line on kickoffs and always under goal for trys and FG. 25 yards off ball, I think inside the 20 you'll be at the end line. Signal with FJ and SJ that you have 11 for B. Signal next down with them after each play. You are 5 yards behind receiver on scrimmage kicks, wide side of the field.

B has GAME clock not 25-second clock according to the CCA manual. That's what we go by.

Better buy a new manual, because that changed last year.
