I am greatly disappointed. My season ended early this year. I got an infected corneal ulcer. Essentially blind in my left eye (boy, the coaches would love that wouldn't they). It is like looking through a piece of wrapping tissue. It has now been a week.

It appears to have come from a scratch from a contact. Opthamologist said I waited too long to come in, I had been travelling for work. So guys, if you get a scratch on your eye, do not wait to have it checked, might save your season.

Had to give up 3 games. There is a ray of hope that I will be better b4 playoffs, and could sub for a crew if needed.... What a disappointing way to end what was a great season.

Just needed to vent.

Sorry to hear that BBFBUmp. Your advice is good. Get things checked out.

Today, my season ended as well. Ankle just too sore and has a partial tear.
Wraped and or taped it every game. Seemed to help until back to back Fri/Sat games last weekend on drenched and mucky fields did it in. A soft field was worse than I expected.

I'll be OK an in few weeks. I hope your condition recovers quickly.

Thanks Theisey, its weird but I was more worried about missing the games than the eye. I guess we get a little whacko about this avocation.

Best wishes to you as well.

Speedy recovery to both of you. I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't know when to shut it down.
